My Beloved Trinity

Give me women, wine, and snuff
Until I cry out "hold, enough!"
You may do so sans objection
Till the day of resurrection:
For, bless my beard, they aye shall be
My beloved Trinity.

-John Keats

If you are thinking this is my devotional post of the week, being written on the subject of The Trinity, you must be disappointed. 'Cause it so isn't...

Every once in a while I come across an ancient poem that makes me laugh. Like this one by John Keats. I mean, seriously? Wine, women and snuff? Why waste a third on snuff? Snort!

It kind of reminds me of the desert isle scenario...what would one-two-three things would you take? (Which in itself reminds me of Gilligan's Island...where they seemed to have everything but a boat and/or a radio. Plenty of food, water, alcohol...)

Btw, my beloved trinity would be coffee, Mr. Hippie and chocolate. Dark chocolate.

What composes your beloved trinity?
