Happy Thanksgiving!

You may be reading this early. You may be reading this later in the day-thoroughly stuffed with turkey and the fixings.

But, I am not spending time on here today.

Today I am hanging with my family.

Today I am preparing and cooking my own 20 pound turkey.

Today I am running my 4th Turkey Trot. A Barefoot Hippie Thanksgiving Day tradition. I love running really hard the morning of Thanksgiving. It makes me feel not too bad about the extra helping of turkey and gravy and two slices of pie. This year, for the first time, I am joined by my two boys. This makes is doubly special.

Today I am spending an hour or so at church, singing and praising God for all He has blessed us with. This is probably my favorite church service of the year.

Today I am setting my table with my crystal and china. I'm hauling out the cloth napkins, table cloth and place mats. I have lots of candles and gourds and flowers. Hopefully the end result will be as beautiful IRL as it is in my mind.

Today I am playing the thankful game with my kids, husband and friends. Another opportunity to corporately remember our multitude of blessings.

Today I pray your heart overflows with awe at the abundance with which you have been blessed! Mine sure is!

Happy Thanksgiving from the entire Barefoot Hippie crew!
